My documentary film celebrating some of the best burgers in America and the amazing people behind them. Hamburger America tells the story of 8 deliciously unique hamburger locations across the US. Each restaurant featured is family-run, has had a burger on the menu for over 40 years and uses only fresh beef. Family, tradition and pride are what make Hamburger America a truly American tale.

A 2005 NY Times reviews called it, "…a picturesque, undidactic, burger-loving, program about entrepreneurism, American ingenuity, and beef,” and another aptly described the film as, “…a celebration of mom and pop stands through which small towns and big cities define their palate.”

It’s the film that started it all. Hamburger America was completed in 2004, and in 2010 was inducted into the National Archives as a piece of essential American gastronomic filmmaking. The film kickstarted a life of burger research for me which now includes 4 books, 3 television shows and a future restaurant.
